The Role

We’re hiring both for deep technical specialists and exceptionally fast-learning generalists. See below for an indication of what you may have worked on, or what you might expect to work on if you join us.

• Memory and long-context reasoning: End-to-end retrieval and reasoning, fast adaptation, meta-learning, context distillation and reuse.
• Agentic systems and RL: multi-step reasoning and tool use, preference learning, process reward modelling, offline-to-online RL, RL in unverifiable domains.
• World models and self-improvement: Learned simulators of real deployment environments. Agents that propose new tasks, environments, and real-world experiments, intervening on prompts,policies, and data pipelines.
• Infrastructure: training, serving, and observability: Large-scale distributed training, efficient inference, and the observability, audit, and rollback tooling that makes this safe to deploy.

About You

• You’ve worked at a top-tier industrial research lab or research institution, at high-growth startups, or another fast-paced and ambitious environment.
• You like to move fast and have a track record of producing disproportionate output in short amounts of time.
• You think from first principles about what the company needs, not just the task in front of you.
• You’re ambitious, collaborative, and like challenging yourself to solve hard problems.
• You’re a self-starter, operating well without supervision and without a clear specification.
• You want to build at the frontier, with a team doing work none of us could do alone.

Practicalities

• Location: Our beautiful East London office is where we are building our models and culture. Five days a week in person, with sensible allowances.
